Hwaseong Fortress

A stunning UNESCO World Heritage site featured in 'Love in the Moonlight' and 'Itaewon Class' (during a memorable date scene). Built in the late 18th century by King Jeongjo, this massive fortress wall surrounds the center of Suwon. The architecture is a unique blend of Eastern and Western military designs. Visitors can walk along the impressive 5.7km wall and fly hot air balloons.
How to get there
🚇 Take the Subway Line 1 or KTX to Suwon Station, then take a short taxi or bus ride to the fortress.
